Acceptable Use Policy

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. It exists so that what is prohibited is written down and specific enough to point at.

Prohibited

Illegal content and activity

  • Any content or conduct that is illegal under US federal law or Texas law
  • Child sexual abuse material. We report apparent CSAM to the NCMEC CyberTipline as 18 U.S.C. §2258A requires. We preserve rather than delete, and we do not investigate.
  • Content infringing copyright, including pirated game files and ripped assets

Attacks and unauthorised access

  • DDoS, flooding, or any attack traffic, whether outbound or as a reflector
  • Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or unauthorised access attempts against any system, ours or anyone else's
  • Malware distribution, command-and-control, or phishing infrastructure

Service abuse

  • Cryptocurrency mining of any kind
  • Operating proxies, VPN endpoints, or Tor exit nodes
  • Spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or open mail relays
  • Resource consumption that degrades service for other customers
  • Circumventing free tier limits, including multiple accounts to obtain additional free allocations
  • Sharing account credentials outside the subuser system

Game-specific

  • Servers configured to bypass publisher account authentication. Minecraft servers run with online-mode=true by default; disabling it requires a stated reason and is logged. Offline-mode servers exist principally to serve unauthenticated clients and are treated as a policy matter.
  • Sharing a single game licence across customers where the publisher requires an owned licence

Conduct

  • Harassment, doxxing, threats, or hate speech
  • Impersonating Myrieon staff

Logging

We log file operations on your server — uploads, downloads, deletions, renames, permission changes — including who performed them and from what address. This log is retained for 24 months and is how abuse reports and law enforcement requests are answered. See the Privacy Policy.

Enforcement

The normal ladder is warning → suspension → termination.

Immediate termination without warning applies to illegal content, attack traffic, and anything creating criminal exposure for us.

Suspension is immediate where a payment dispute is opened, or where continued operation degrades service for other customers.

We do not refund service terminated for breach of this policy.
