Minecraft hosting
Vanilla or modded,
on memory that's yours.
Minecraft: Java Edition. Run vanilla on Paper, pick one of the 25 most popular modpacks and install it in one click, or start a bare Fabric, Forge or NeoForge server and bring your own mods. You pick the size; we reserve it; you connect.
Three ways to run it
Vanilla
Paper
Vanilla gameplay on Paper, the high-performance server that also runs Bukkit and Spigot plugins. Same game, smoother ticks.
One click
Modpacks
Choose from the 25 most popular FTB and CurseForge modpacks. The pack brings its own loader and Minecraft version — you don't have to match anything up.
Bring your own
Bare bones
An empty Fabric, Forge or NeoForge server on the Minecraft version you choose. Upload your mods over SFTP and start it.
What every Minecraft server includes
World save slots
Keep three saved worlds alongside the one you're playing, free and outside your disk quota. Save before a risky change; restore if it goes wrong.
Players, from the dashboard
Operators, whitelist and bans in one place. Changes go through the game's own commands, so they apply now if the server is running and at next start if it isn't.
Every setting, explained
Every server.properties key as a field with a note on what it does.
Difficulty, game mode and the whitelist change live, without a restart.
Full file access
SFTP access to every file on your server: upload plugins and mods, edit configs, download your world whenever you like.
A console that remembers
A live console in the browser. Close the tab and come back and everything since the server started is still there.
Account authentication on
Servers run with online-mode enabled so only genuine Minecraft accounts can
join. Offline mode is available on request with a reason.
How much do I need?
Minecraft's game loop runs on one thread, so a second core helps world generation but a third does very little. Memory is what plugins, mods, players and view distance consume. These are starting points; you can change them any time.
Vanilla (Paper)
| Players | Memory | CPU | Disk included | Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 5 | 2 GiB | 1 shared core | 15 GB | $7.25 |
| Up to 12 | 4 GiB | 1 shared core | 30 GB | $11.25 |
| Up to 24 | 6 GiB | 2 shared cores | 45 GB | $18.50 |
| Up to 24, heavy plugins | 8 GiB | 2 dedicated cores | 60 GB | $29.00 |
Modded
| Pack | Memory | CPU | Disk included | Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light pack, under ~100 mods | 6 GiB | 2 shared cores | 45 GB | $18.50 |
| Most modpacks | 10 GiB | 2 shared cores | 75 GB | $26.50 |
| Heavy pack, 200+ mods | 12 GiB | 2 dedicated cores | 90 GB | $37.00 |
Modpacks are memory-hungry before they're CPU-hungry. Starving one causes garbage-collection stutter that looks exactly like lag. See pricing for every option.
Good to know
- Why Paper and not the plain Mojang server?
- Paper with no plugins plays exactly like vanilla but runs noticeably better. There's nothing the plain server does that Paper doesn't.
- Bedrock (console and mobile)?
- Not at launch. Java Edition only.
- Where are the servers?
- In Texas, United States. Players across North America typically connect with low latency.
- Do I need to own Minecraft?
- Every player needs their own Minecraft: Java Edition account. Server software and modpacks are downloaded from their official sources when your server is installed.
